With effect from 25thMay 2018, the General Data Protection Regulations (‘’GDPR’’) will come into force, which will change the law.
As a responsible and ethical Recruitment business, Fused Recruitment Ltd aim to only use and store personal data related to our candidates during the job application process and will only use this information for contact purposes, until we receive an ‘unsubscribe’ notification directly from the data owner.

FUSED RECRUITMENT LTD – PRIVACY NOTICE (GDPR)
This Privacy Notice tells you what to expect in relation to personal information about you, which is collected, handled and stored by Fused Recruitment Ltd.
We acknowledge and agree that any personal data of yours that we handle will be processed in accordance with all applicable data protection laws in force. Currently, the Data Protection Act 1998 applies.
The information about you we may collect, hold and process, whilst aiming to find you a new, suitable role with our clients is set out below:
- Your name
- Your address
- Your email address
- Your telephone number(s)
- CV, Cover Letter or general work history
- Job preferences including role, reasons for leaving, geographical requirements and transport options
- Salary information
- Interview stages and offer status
- Current interview status or job offers pending
- Any other work related information you provide, for example education, skills and qualifications
For individuals who may have worked with us previously, been offered positions with our clients, or engaged with us whilst job seeking, we may also hold details such as:
- Passport copy
- National Insurance Number
- Salary details and remuneration details
- Vehicle registration details
This information will have been provided, or will be provided, by you or a third party who we work with, such as a Job Board, or another employment business or agency. In the case of references, these will be from your previous employers.
How We Use The Information
The above information is used to provide our services to you in our capacity as an employment business / agency and to find you suitable work, whether that be on either a freelance or permanent basis based on your requirements as set out below:
- To match your skills and experience to vacancies we are working on with our clients
- To help source the most suitable roles and employers to your skill set and background
- To place you with our clients or prospective clients / employers
- To keep you informed of new opportunities, industry news and updates to our services
We may also use the information to:
- Establish you have the required right to work
- Undertake relevant referencing checks as stipulated by our clients
- To help ensure that all contractual arrangements such as contract of employment and offer letters are present and correct
Storing The Information
Your safety and data security is important to us and all of the data we have stored is on our database in the UK primarily (unless when we may be travelling internationally on a mobile device) and our database is password protected.
Sharing Your Information
Most of your information will be kept confidential with us until we reach an offer stage or referencing point with our client.
When we share your CV with our clients, we will only ever do this with your permission first, and when possible, will always remove your personal contact details from the CV.
On occasions, when setting up telephone interviews with our clients we will obviously have to share contact number(s).
Your CV and related information, for example a portfolio or cover letter, will be shared with prospective employers electronically via email and will be provided to them with the aim of securing an interview / job offer.
What is the legal basis for processing the information?
We will rely on your consent to collect and process the above-mentioned information and will remove you from our database upon instruction from you (the data owner) without question.
Once a position has been found for you, we will pass your personal data for the purpose of you entering into a contract to our client.
We like to communicate with our candidates and all mailers and newsletters include an ‘unsubscribe’ function, which is quick and easy to use from both a desktop and mobile device.

Retaining Your Data
We only want to hold your information if you are or will soon to be in the market for a new role. We therefore ask you to notify us as soon as you are no longer in the market for new employment and all information will be deleted safely and securely.
